Porepunkah is in the North Eastern corner of the State of Victoria, Australia. It is an easy 300km North East of the State Capital of Melbourne on good roads all the way. Just head North from Melbourne on the Hume Highway till you reach Wangaratta, then turn right onto the 'Great Alpine Road' heading for Bright.
Porepunkah is 6km before Bright and the Banjo Workshop is approximately 2.5km on the right along the Roberts Creek Road.
Porepunkah is in a particularly picturesque part of Australia with snow covered peaks in winter, rugged mountain ranges and fertile river valleys. Porepunkah is also close to the » Harrietville bluegrass and old time country music festival. This Festival is held in October/November each year and features many fine local and international artists.
